We are a family operated Florida mini cow farm located in Southeast Volusia County For over 30 years. We have spent half a lifetime developing the nicest miniature cows for our pasture and yours. The Florida Aberdeen Mini cow is a quality little cow, perfectly proportioned and just good quality stock. They are what we want to look at as we gaze across our beautiful farm, and we think they will fill that bill for you too.
Living and working on the farm we are blessed with the beauty of Gods creations in our everyday lives. From coffee on the porch to walks in the woods. Our neighbors are the four-legged variety who live in the pastures and trees surrounding us. We interact with the mini cows daily, so we are quick to spot new additions and get their pictures sent to their new owners quickly. The anticipation is amazing, and it is so exciting to introduce a calf to their waiting family each time a new miniature calf is born.
The Florida Aberdeen Mini herd will have 16 tiny new calves this year. There is a waiting list and that is the only way to get a female calf. Occasionally we may offer a male calf on the web site as many people want one male with several females planning for their own breeding herd.
If you would like to see the herd in person you may schedule a visit to the farm. Please email us and we will set up a visit.
To get on the list for a sweet baby miniature cow for your homestead, please let us know how many boy or girl calves you would like to start your herd and we will give you an approximate timeframe based on the current list. Note we do not sell girl calves unless you are also getting a male. If you would like one calf for a pet it would need to be a male either intact or we do band on request.
Please be aware that Mother Nature is really in charge of all things on the farm, and we are at her mercy. While we can make an educated guess as to when your new baby is due, we can be fooled and sometimes it is difficult to discern between a full-term mom and a heifer with a belly full of summer grass.
When your baby is born you will be notified with pictures and video via text and email right away and you may come to the farm to see your new baby whenever you would like.
Some new families want to pick up their babies right away and enjoy the special bonding experience of bottle feeding. While others choose to leave their babies with the herd for up to 8 weeks so that the baby is eating and drinking adequately on their own and does not require a lot of time and attention once taken home. The choice is yours. Our babies LOVE their bottles and will take one indefinitely if you want to give them one as a treat So there is plenty of time for bonding.
The non-refundable deposit is $100 with the balance to be paid at pickup or delivery.
Currently we have 2 male calves available and are taking deposits for calves to be born in spring of 2025.
Female calves are 4,500
Male calves are 3,500
Our featured micro mini is 7,000
Our mini cows are beautiful replicas of the cows you remember grazing in the fields as a child. They are sized down perfectly to scale and fit well in Florida's rural neighborhoods and smaller land tracts.
In a time where many are longing to get back to a simpler more self-sufficient lifestyle our Florida Aberdeen Mini is fitting the ticket. They are nostalgic to look at while being low maintenance and free of problems that plague many larger breeds.
Once they have had a calf they can be milked and will supply a sufficient amount of daily milk for a family. Pioneer families in Florida often kept and prized their Guinea cows for this reason.
They can be stocked 1-2 per acre for year-round grazing and will save you hours and hours of mowing while converting your yard into healthy organic fertilizer for your family garden or orchard.
Florida Aberdeen cows are nonaggressive. Their size makes them easy on fencing and very safe to be around negating the liability a property owner assumes when deciding to raise cattle.
The Florida Aberdeen does well on pasture and only requires a small amount of concentrated feed when pasture is over stocked or overgrazed. This makes them an affordable option in today's world of skyrocketing prices.
The Florida Aberdeen will mature at what is considered a micro mini at less than 36 inches on up to the size of the parent stock which is less than a 40-inch miniature.
Through selective breeding we have developed a small multipurpose cow that is heat and bug resistant making it well suited to the Florida environment. They are pleasing to look while having a sweet disposition.
These animals make extremely sought after pets and companion animals as they are sweet, quiet and nostalgic to look at.
